Guys,
I wrote this before but I will again. We have found that tyre widths can vary up to 12.7mm (1/2 inch) for the same dimensions tyres. This alone with all the planning in the world can cause wheel rub. From my own experience,
N rated Yokohama A008P 205/50ZR17s no rub on the front in any condition. Non N rated Pirelli P7000 205/50ZR17, wheel rub at full lock. The Pirelli has a slightly higher sidewall chamfer.
The rotation speed is also slightly less with the P7000s. I also highly recommend that for a 911, especially a 964 C4 that P7000s remain unpurchased in the store.
Ciao,
Adrian
