Sybele ECU for 964
Hi All,
Just bought an ECU from the U.K. for my 964. The tuner of the ECU is Sybele. The kit includes ECU, intake tube (replaces stock MAF), air temp sensor, throttle positioning sensor. I was told that ECU was tuned using higher flowing bosch injectors.
I know that the standard factory injectors that came on the 964 were bosch "tan" injectors, I was offered "green" or "black" injectors, but don't know if they will work. Has anyone had any experience with the Sybele ECU? And if so, does anyone know what kind of injectors I should be using?
Thanks
LJ

Where I've known people to change their injectors on a 964 engine, they've gone to 993 injectors, which are less expensive than 964 injectors. Sorry, don't know what color they are.

The Sybele system is not easy to get going on a 964.Usually a good place to start is with Red 16 ohm injectors.Dont use 4 ohm greens. If you need Bosch part nos I will look them up .Good luck .

Sorry for the delay but I am in the process of moving house !!!!!!!!!!!!
Red injectors are 0280 150 756.With the Sybelle system the ECU load information is throttle position , so be very careful with adjustments to the throttle pot.
Its about 10 years since I saw one of these on a 964 but I remember it was a

Hi Red Rooster,
No problem at all, I appreciate all the info you could provide.
How was 964 running with the Sybele system?
Better than the factory ECU w/ a chip?
Would you happen to know where I could pick up these Bosch "red" injectors?

I have 2 sets in the UK but the easy way is to find injectors which are easily avaiable for you, with about the same flow rate. The 756 flows about 304cc/min @ 3 bar ,which is about 30lbs @ 45psi.This is about +50% on std 964.
I dont know if it is still there but DTA used to have a very good injector look-up
chart for Bosch injectors so you can check on flow rates for injectors that are easy to get.
My memory tells me that the Sybelle system makes good power and response but is really trickey to set up,especially the throttle pot ,as it is used for idle as well as part load.Lamda operation is essential.
Sorry I cant be a lot of help but all my technical stuff is on its way to the new house in Canada.
