993 and 964
After looking at the specs and pictures (they got the light bulb to light up) of both cars I was wondering, just how similar are these cars? I know that the rear suspension was completely changed to the double wishbone, but what about the chassis? After looking at the dimensions of both cars my guess is that they are the same (can anyone confirm this)??
964 993
Length 4250mm 4245mm
Width 1651 1735 Wheelbase 2272 2272 Track 1379(F)1374(R) 1413(F)1452(R) All numbers taken from Classic & Sports Car and are for the 964 RS and 993RS..

I can help with a few dimensions:
964
Wheelbase: 89.4"
Height: 51.9"
Width: 65"
Track, f/r: 54.3" / 54.1"
Length: 168.3"
Curb Weight: 3105 lbs (C2)
993
Wheelbase: 89.4" (same as 1969 - Don't ya love it!)
Height: 51.8"
Width: 68.3"
Weight: 3014 lbs (C2)
The track dimensions for the 993 with 16" rims that I have is: f: 1405mm, r:1444mm.
I guess 0-60 times are only a few tenths of a second between the '95 993 and a '94 964.

Hello,
I have a factory flyer for the '95 993:
0-60 mph = 5.4s
As someone just posted, a 964 took 5.5s to go from 0-60 mph (factory figure).
When the Varioram was introduced in '96, the 0-60 mph factory time dropped by another 0.1s, to 5.3s.
