I had a quick look at the Fox and Hounds last night. Its a nice quiet little pub. There are 29 well lit spaces at the back, 2 at the front, then 60 or so meters of parking along the road to the pub (maybe space for 30 cars?). There is a speedbump on the way out of the carpark as a warning to people with non-standard ride-height!

Looks like a great place for a meeting.

I would like to come down and meet up with you on Sunday afternoon/evening. I owe Randal at least a beer or two for his assistance on fixing my oil cooler problmes <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />
Riccardo please mail me off-line and give me times and location. If you haven't got wheels on Sunday I could pick you up and drop you off.
I'll be driving back from a weekend in Manchester so hopefully it doesn't rain as I've just Zymol'ed my car!!

If you're definitely interested, it's probably best to email Christer, Riccardo and me offline. We're running out of time today so if we don't hear from Riccardo soon, it will have to all be sorted by phone.

Yup, we did have dinner on Sunday after all. Guess we've all been lazy and didn't place any response on this thread.

People attending were:
- Randall & Eva
- David
- Gary
- Christer
- myself

We drove down in 3 964s, black (Gary), red (Chrsiter) and white (David). Quite a mission trying to keep all 3 of us together through London traffic, just as well we managed as nobody knew where they were going!

Dinner was nice, we went to an Italian restaurant in the end, the food was nice but the service a bit shoddy. Still, we chatted away the whole evening, maily Porsche and Rennlist stuff.

We'll all be meeting again on this Friday in Windsor. I took some pics (though I seem to be chopped off in most of them!) but have yet to download them to my work PC. Hopefully tomorrow I can add them.

My PC at work does not seem to want to display the actual threads themselves - i.e. I can see the Headings and what they are called but I just get a blank screen when clicking on a thread to post. No idea why... <img border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" title="" src="graemlins/cussing.gif" />

It was very nice to meet up although I think Eva has had more interesting evenings!

I will also post some photos ASAP.

after seeing the Fox & Hounds, i'd have to say it has safer parking, and its free. But i'm happy to meet at either.

ps. if anyone leaving the Fox later uses 'Wick Lane', be careful of the 70degree left-hander 3/4s of the way down, visious!

Back, safe and sound. Had a fabulous time. And, nice weather (lucky there). Oddly enough, we got off the plane in LA, to be greeted by hard rain and cold (for us) temperatures.

Great meeting up with everyone on Sunday night.

Gary N.--thanks for the Porsche Post mag. Look forward to digging into it soon. Eva wouldn't let me read it while in England: "You need to be concentrating on planning." Yes, she was right. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Riccardo. Eva apologizes for cutting you out of so many pics (kind of you to not name names) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> . We do have a single digital photo with half of your face included that I'll send along to you.

Enjoyed riding in Christer's 964. The GHL exhaust sounds good. Also enjoyed riding in Dave K.'s car. Both 964s pulled quite smartly (what tired engines?) and handled wonderfully. Greg's N.'s car was nice and shiny, and Christer's car looked much more red than pink to me.

Eva was quite a sport, putting up with not one, but three Porsche get-togethers, counting lunch at John's and Friday in Windsor. She got to ride in Melvin's race car, which she found hugely entertaining.

Well, off to post some more, not entirely redundant stuff, on the general forum thread.
