I think the initial info was wrong. If you unplug a working sensor, the fan should turn on (ie: open circuit) which would translate to open being hot.

This makes sense. Just got done working on the spoiler, car was completely cold, 75 degrees in the garage, key in the ignition, but not running, the fan was on. When I pulled the key, the motor stayed on for 8 minutes.

Buy the sensor? $55 at pelican I believe.

Bought the sensor, it works fine now. $53 at Pelican parts. This means that infinite resistance (open) on this part means it won't work right.
