Hello again,
So last week had the chance to drive more the car to a track event.
Cold start and high fuel consumption definitely fixed ( O2 sensor presumably )
Regarding the power loss I still had it during the journey... So I decided to stop on the way and make the swap of the throttle idle switch that I kept aside.
Started the car again and definitely an effect on how the engine runs at idle ( strangely as it is supposed to be just a 0/1 switch....
During the rest of the journey no power loss but still had the random no return to idle ( engine stays at 1500 /2000 rpm and you can even feel that when coasting without throttle there is a residual traction as if throttle would not be completely closed )
So now the theory is:
- Idle switch despite having been tested OK with multimeter would not give the right signal only when hot ( as power loss is only when hot )
- High idle could be due to sticking of the air control valve - That I change by a new one before causing a by pass of air when throttle is closed....

Next step is to remove the idle control valve and lubricate it not with volatile WD40 but with a bit of engine oil en retest....
