Front & rear fans come on with key....
A quick question for THE 964 experts.
As soon as I insert and turn my key (not cranking), the front and rear fans come on immediately.
Anyone have an idea what the problem is or where to start looking? Sensor, relay?
All the gauges on my dash are normal.
Unfortunately, I don't have Porsche workshop manuals.....maybe this is my excuse to get some?

I think this will happen (depending which fan you mean by 'front'), simply beacuse your heater temp control is turned up above 'ambient'.
The fan kicks in to start drawing heated air into the cabin. If you turn the heater dial down, it should cut out.

Dear Lewis,
There is only one rear fan. If you have heat selected the rear blower fan and the temp sensor fan will wind up. The LH blower fan will also run up to a very low speed. The temp sensor fan can certainly soound like a normal fan. Turn the temp control **** to the blue dot position and see what happens. The answer should be nothing (no fans) but what happens with your RSA.
Ciao,
