Here are some pics of the car in question. It is a Ruf CTR-2. I promise it is not compensating for anything. If you are ever on the track with it you will understand.

So it definitely was the ex Pikes Peak car--- the Beddor's are (in)famous for their undying support of Alois, and father and two sons are absolutely top notch drivers who I remember used to always take their RUF's to the limit at Pikes Peak....

In that case...wing is definitely not for show!

Oh MY!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

I think the "proof is in the pudding"...that boomerang/banana wing...etc...

...is NOT for show! <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Kindy "freaky", kinda cool, dunno if I'd own it, but I would certainly admire it.

Yep...in fact I remember there was a time that the Beddors also had a couple of 964 RCT's up at Pike's Peak...would be great to track some pictures of their RCT's down....

I also remember that Steve Beddor was selling his 964 RUF RCT transmission subsequently (6 speed, adjustable front to rear wheel biase etc)with extremely low mileage....boy was I was trying to scrape some cash together for that one...

It's ugly but I'm betting it works to limit high speed oversteer. Didn't this car make a recent Car and Driver "worst" list? AS
