Hi GT9111,
I did not use "KONG SOK" because I did not fancy going over the HK side and taking the MTR back.....I live in Ma On Shan you see. Thanks for the number anyway.
I went to Ah Fat (AU Lok) in Kwung Tong.....They helped me re-gas the system for free the first time round.
I don't really like Ah Fat's working enviroment - too cluttered, but he does know his Porsche cars! He also told me not to use original Porsche aircon parts....not very reliable. He put in an aftermarket (made in Singapore) condenser/evaporator (whatever) coil instead.
The car has never been so COOL (temperature wish).....still not as good as my Evolution 6, but good enough. Only time will really tell though! I hope it lasts. Don't want to do this ever summer.
Cheers!
Simon

Simon,
I usually bring my car to Ah Fat for service as well. He used to work in Jebsen as a mechanic before moving out to establish his shop. Don't you love those Gembella wheels that he has in the shop. I heard that he is moving to a larger shop in the near future.
Maybe, we can meet at Ah Fat's shop someday and talk Porsche! <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

Hi,
I'm another Hong Kong 964er, with no aircon gas, and am suffering in the recent heat.My car is Slate Grey with black interior and seems to soak up all the sunrays. My mechanic at Carrera Motors replaced the condenser(not a porsche part) a year ago and has been fine until recently. The car is cool for the first 5 minutes then quickly heats up. Interesting to hear that the leak could be anywhere. Will try the Wan Chai Shop for another opinion.
If they can get the aircon to work like a Hong Kong taxi then that would be cool!

964 board,
Apologies to hijack the board's bandwidth and resurrect such an old thread but a cheaper and more efficient and reliable a/c system sounds like something that is too good to resist!
Simon,
I need to get my A/C evaporator replaced (leaking!) and I am in Singapore.
Would you be able to get in touch with Ah Fat to find out the brand of the aftermarket a/c evaporator?
Thanks in advance for your help.. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
