Lowered my C2 - rear very noisy over bumps

Jon, my front swaybar would shift considerably towards the passenger side (most turns on a roadcourse are right hand turns if running clockwise)...almost six inches and get locked over there.
So, instead of this: |____| it would look like: \____\ if viewed from the front of the vehicle.
This made for some funky high-speed braking, until I figured out what the hell was wrong.
I emailed Performance Products and got NO reply. So, in "Jeff" fashion, I came up with a "fix", mind you this "fix" is no big secret to the swaybar community as Weltmeister makes them for the rear of an SC and advises the use of hose clamps to hold the bar center.
I have a total of FOUR hose clamps on my front bar...because I don't want it to move a bit. They are located on either side of both bushings and ever since install, they haven't moved!!

Yup, just standard 1" hose clamps - but I think I got mine at Autozone or Pep Boys!
...so they're REALLY high grade.
I believe I have a few pics archived on a CD, I'll check it out when I get home...and post one of 'em.
JohnFM, we haven't forgotten about you!!
...just waiting for the latest news.

Saga still unfolding.......
however, decided to take matters into my own hands. Just ordered a trolley jack & a bunch of tools. I have decided that I am perfectly qualified to f&*? my own car up, so why pay someone else to do it?? I intend to do most of the stuff myself in future, and if I do a crap job I can still pay a garage to clean up after me. Having said that, I'm not bad with a spanner, so I cannot see too many problems.
With regard the bump, garage is trying replacement trailing arms this week - I don't think this is the problem, but what do I know!!

JohnFM, sorry you're having so much trouble getting the trouble resolved...but new trailing arms? WOW!
Hope you get it figured out soon...seems you might be ready to go a bit bonkers by now?
Jon, here's the pic I promised, of my swaybar clamps. Notice that I have some patriotic hoseclamps!

John,
The rear struts, were they checked off the car? This might be a long shot but as you're running out of options.... Twenty years ago I had a brand new set of Bilsteins fitted onto a Mitsubishi GSR. And clunking noises surfaced from the front (identical to yours i.e. slow speed etc etc.) Went through the same ordeal you did plus ten years of therapy but it finally turned out it was the new strut. It appeared to work fine. Dampening action was present, no leaks plus it was new. But, when we had it off the car and gave short sharp jerks to the strut rod(no wisecracks guys!!) we felt a barely perceptible click, free play, whatever in its movement. This magnified itself through the chassis as clunks inside the car. Bilstein replaced them, problem solved. I hope this helps. I can feel for you......
cheers,
Kris

Yes. I ended up swapping the rear dampers over (left to right & vice versa). Sure enough, the clunk moved! The dampers were buggered! Put in a new suspension.
Now have a GT3 with a similar annoying clunk!! Maybe its just the roads near my house!!!( just kidding!)

Severely annoyed at myself, more than the garage, for tinkering with a perfect car. Will I never learn!!!!
