Greetings fellows Porsche addicts!

I was doing some research on the 964 DME and came across this old thread. If anyone in the know has a file copy of a '91 or later 964 DME EEPROM (supporting the "Check Engine Light" function) I would appreciate getting a copy. I have put the bulb in the dash and found that it is currently driven by the DME but does not do anything useful in my '90 C2. Based on the theory that any diagnostic information is useful, my plan is to update the DME to support this feature.

Your help is appreciated.

Regards,

Jim Grant

All the 964's I've worked on (many) have the MIL
light functioning. Try and disconnect a sensor
and see what the light does. Then use the
Hammer.

Good Luck

I happen to know that a RUF optimisation of your engine can give you 288HP. No internal engine parts changed. Remapping of the DME is part of the whole package. For more details please call RUF.[/QB][/QUOTE]

Hi Adrian

I have just purchased the RUF Chip (not tested it yet) this optimization you are talking about is just with the installation of this chip?, or is there any additional work?

Thanks
