Question Corner balancing

This may be a stupid question but here goes. If I decide to go with a Koni/Eibach set up rather than coil-overs, can the car still be effectively corner balanced? I have it in my head the answer is no but I just want to check before I finally decide what to do.

On the same topic, my '92 C2 is boked in this Friday for lowering etc. Alignment is obviously part of the job, but should I assume corner balancing is a separate issue that I need to insist on with the specialist - or is it part of the alignment procedure??

You should specifically request a corner balance, as it is a separate procedure from setting the camber/toe/caster, and requires different equipment (scales).
