My idle microswitch has broken for the 2nd time in 6 months. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Yes this happened to me a couple of times as well. The screws are really hard to tighten, I have a very small ratchette that just gets in there and doesnt slip. Replace the screws with new ones as they get a little worn if adjusted too often.

Be careful that the gap is correct - as close as possible so that the switch just touches the leaver or the results are quite nasty (engine will run poorly with lag , stalling and hesitation).
