Talking

There has been a lot of talk about rebuilding the 964 engines after 80, 90 or whatever miles. Mine has 85 K miles, I did a leakdown and compression check and my mechanic told me that I am out of my mind when I started talking about a rebuild (even if only heads). I think it is very crucial that you use the right oil (Mobil 1 plus I use Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer) and accept a few oil drips every day (you won't see them if you leave the undertray on).

I just know that if I do get a 964 or 993 and I would have possibly 10K to put down on it. I need my payments to be no more than $425 hoping to get them around the $400 range. I hope to keep the car for a very long time and I am not sure if can just keep taking extended warranties out on it. Is that the case? I am scared of a rebuild cause it is soooo much. I mean if it were like 5K I wouldnt worry at all. But 10K for a rebuild. I would have to finance a rebuild for 3 years.. lol.. I dont doubt a porsche will hold up but I just am planning down the road (cause I know I dont want to give this car up!!)

Paul- I am sending you an email tonight.. Thanks

And thanks to everyone else!

Hi all

Just seen a very clean 1993 Carrera4 with low mileage (45500), Guards Red (nice) white full leather interior, S/R, 17" alloys, Standard Porsche mirrors (pitty).. ..in Norwich at a non Porsche dealership a couple of doors up from my offices, seems to have a full service history. They want £25k but I would think they would take offers, Anyone know of someone looking mail me for the dealer details!

Damon,
I might have a possible solution for you!
It has some miles, but is in exceptional shape. Drop me an email, it is in your price range.

Paul
