Post mystery part number

Can anyone identify a bosche starter with part number 1005 82? ?02. Is that a Bosche number for a remanufactured 964 starter? Also has remanufacture number S17158.
Thanks

Larry,

Just to be sure and eliminate one possibility, I looked up the Bosch catalog, and that is not the part number for a new Bosch starter for the 3.6L C2/C4 engines. Unfortunately I don't have access to any rebuilt numbers.

Dear Larry,
I ama afraid I cannot help with the actual number except to say, BEWARE. You should find a starter motor with the Porsche part number on it as well or strike a deal with the supplier that the OEM version can be returned for a full refund if it does not fit or work properly.
This can be a problem and you should be aware of this.
Ciao,
Adrian
