Hi!
My car is going in for a full allignment and corner balance. The particular workshop is the only one around that can do a corner balance but has no particular experience with Porsches but are well know for setting up race cars.
Instruction to the workshop will be to go for RS spec alignment data but I have no clue of what to instruct them regarding the corner balance, i.e. axle weight distribution and/or corner weights.
The car is a C4 and slightly lightened. Any info regarding weight distribution and corner balance data is highly appreciated.
Ciao,
Johannes E.

When you corner balance the maximum weight differential from front wheel to front wheel is 20 lbs and rear to rear the same. Most people are able to get this down to less than 2 lbs. A proper corner balance takes time to get right but really worth it. The workshop should have all the charts and tables for this work. The first thing I would check is that they have them.
The corner balance spec is the same for all 964s. You cannot use RS axle weight distribution unless you are at RS weight of 1220 kgs. The front of a C4 will always be higher than that of a RS.

Johannes,
Do an archive search. Within the past month or two I've posted my corner balance results, as have several others. That may help answer your question.

Hey Bill,
I did search the archives and found the data but I thought perhaps the C4 weight distribution might be different from C2.
