Followup to hanging clutch pedal problem
My car developed the hanging clutch pedal problem a few months ago, as some of you may recall from the following thread:

Following the advice given, I bled the clutch slave cylinder and.... the problem is pretty much resolved! It will still hang every once in a while after a long or hard drive, but it's fine 99% of the time.
Bleeding the slave cylinder was a PITA, but not quite as bad as I was expecting. The hardest part was actually trying to figure out where the bleeder valve was. Once I found it, the rest of the job wasn't too bad. I used a Motive power bleeder, although now I wonder whether I should have also had someone press down on the clutch pedal a few times and bleed it the old fashioned way for a few strokes.
The fluid coming out of the slave cylinder was pretty nasty, so I can see how that would cause a problem.
After I finished, I noticed that the clutch pedal wasn't very smooth. A lube of the pedal assembly fixed that, so things are pretty much back to normal.
I wanted to post a followup that the problem was fixed since we mostly post about problems and don't always hear back about how things turned out. In my case, a happy ending.
