Post 4 puck Sachs Race Metallic Clutch

Hi All,

Has anyone ever used this type of clutch in a street 911/964 C2? any opinions would be great.

4 puck Sachs Race Metallic Clutch Solid no spring,(part#88.1864.999.838).

Thanks

My experience, not in a 964 but a 914/6 with a Sachs metallic, is that the metallic clutches are a touch difficult to drive on the street. Since they do not have the "marcel" spring between the friction surfaces it is difficult to modulate, particularly on hills. It would be OK in something that is not a daily driver though. <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Hey Cupcar,

Is there a # where I can contact you to ask you a couple of question regarding the LWF conversion?

Thanks

Racing clutches are a lot like light switches, on or off. My launch in my Supercup is similar to a stock car or other track vehicle. Not a lot of middle ground. I don't think I would want to spend much time with one on the street. My 2cts.
