Bill G, sorry, I wasn't clear - I was talking about the task of replacing the belt itself (which Nick described as involving drilling out a pin, or something)
I did the vent tube as job#1, which when a 3 way connector is used, is even quicker than a snap!

If you search my posts on Pelican, under FRED/LI, you'll find a few hints that made the belt replacement easier. It was posted on 9/6/01 under a thread titled 'busted distributor belt'. This info is supplemental to the posted full directions on other site.
The entire job is only a couple hours the first go at it.
It's pure mechanics and save misaligning the rotors, there's not much you can actually do wrong in reassembly.
