Red face Air flow meter

Hi

Friend of mine has just fixed his poor idle and loss of power problem, aparantly there is a spiral in there somewhere and it is pitted, therefore not resetting correctly, also 1 of the jets in there was worn. Symptoms were driving along at about 40 mph and sudden loss of power for a second then it resumed.

Can anyone tell me how much a new airflow meter is and any sources in the UK.

This car had been with an OPC center for 3 weeks on and off and they could not fix it and charged the guy a lot of money for the privelage.
