Post belt warning light ?

Sorry for the word choice first of all but have no idea what the correct words are for this one.

The check warning light ( the one concerning the belt for cooldown)+ the (!) pops up/out every five to ten minutes of driving.

I guess the concerning belt is the one that goes to the airco-compresser ?! All three belts are OK. The car runs fine too and no special tempature build up neither.

Anybody any idea, should I worry ?

Sorry for the bad explication and thakns very much for help.

Cya

I understand that a failure of the sender on the belt warning mechanism (the little wheel to the left side of your fan belt, or sometime the mechanism itself, is not uncommon.

I concur. I replaced mine some time ago because the pulley wheel was making a bad whinning sound. I think the part cost me apprx $50 at the dealer (less than $100 anyway). It's a simple installation except to make sure you don't drop the two screws that hold it in.. could take you a while to fish them out if you do...Ron

Yup,

I replaced mine two weeks ago - the part costs $62 from the dealer.

It takes about 2 mins to change - don't do it just after a drive though - you'll burn your knuckles getting the thing off :-)
