I have the teradrop Cup Mirrors, and they are by ways less good than the old style mirrors , concerning what you see behind. I was wondering if there exists a neat aftermarket glass for the mirrors to reduce the dead angle. I definitively don't want to go with the little side mirrors you glue on the main mirror. Some ideas?
Thanks a lot THOMAS
Hi Thomas,
I agree with you. I replaced my original flag mirrors with tear-drops 2 week-ends ago and visability in defintly less with tear-drops. But in saying that I won't put the originals back!!
All I can say is that I definitely experienced the same sensation of "less visible area" like you guys did.
I will add though, I STILL have them on after 6 months or so...and I'm darn well used to them, will NEVER change back!!
The improvement in aesthetics value is second to none...and if you're fast enough - you will never have to use them!!
Agree with Jeff, I have to drive faster, so my problem will be gone . Seriously, has there ever been someone who cut a mirror glass with, anti-dead angle exterior (do not know how you call it officialy) to the size of the teardrop mirrors? Or something of the kind??
Tnaks guys for the fun replies!

I believe the pass. side mirror glass has some curvature to give a wider field of view, so there might be an improvement from fitting the pass. side mirror for a LHD car on the driver side of a RHD car and vice versa. However, if the drivers mirror is adjusted out far enough there is no dead spot in my experience, anything coming up from behind appears in the driver's door mirror as it disappears from the rear view mirror, and is visible out the corner of your eye when looking forward before it disappears from the driver's door mirror, no dead spots at all. Many people adjust their door mirrors to have a lot of overlap with the rear view mirror, which just creates a big dead spot outside the view of the door mirror.
