making my power top manual ????? Looking for mats and Shift boot
I am considering making the power top on my 1994 c2 manual instead of power. It is still in proper working order but I have heard of serious issues arising and I am looking to cut that fear out of my daily life. I raise and lower the top daily if not more frequently so I want to save the most wear and tear as possible. I am getting a new top in next week and want this one to last as long as possible. Can someone please describe the process an the pros and cons of the manual option.
Also I am looking for either a cashmere or black shift boot and floor mats (either color) if anyone can help please post me a message

As far as i am concerned there are no cons, just pros (especially if you consider the financial risk of damage to the new roof or replacing the broken structure!!!)
Just undo the large centre nut in the picture so it is loose and doesn't bind the roof arm...

on the Cab - No
the 964 speedster used a manual top however.
If you wish to completly convert to a manual top - it's a bit more complicated than jsut un doing the motor bolts - but that is spendy (you have to remove and replace a good number of parts with 86-89 911 Cab bits)
undoing the bolt will disengage the motors and save them if they are in good working order - when you go to sell - just tighen it up - check and sell
my 2 cents
