92 C2 with Porsche P100 alarm fitted. Can't see any sign of ultrasonic/motion sensors and if I set alarm with window open, can happily reach in & wave arms about & get no alarm.
Hey, maybe someone pinched them!!
Failing that, were they not standard issue on the UK cars?

Hi,
Not sure if they were standard issue - but they may have been removed if they caused problems.
When I got my car, it had the standard UK alarm fitted with motion sensors on the parcel shelf at the back. I had it changed for a cat 1 alarm - and the guys who fitted it told me these motion sensors were not actually connected to anything. Must have had lots of fake alarms in the past - maybe yours was the same but they were actually taken out.

My car came with them.
One went faulty soon after purchase - it kept causing a relay to 'click' whilst the car was in use and the alarm disarmed. This was very irritating until I tracked the source.
The other went the same way a few years later. I still have them connected, but covered up with a blob of Blu-Tak. The dealer reckoned it not cost-effective to diagnose/repair.
