Door wiring loom plug?????
Hi Dudes,
Currently chasing the non-working door LED in the drivers door. Here's where i am at. Took door apart, and pulled plug off the alarm control unit. According to the wiring diagram, the red wire to the coil that surrounds the LED is +12V which it is. The other wire is green/black and goes via a plug under the dash to the control box. As an aside, anyone know how this LED works as the LED is mounted on a screw, and there appears to air an no contact between it and a coil like structure surrounding it?
Anyway, on checking continuity for this GN/BK wire, there appears to be a break in the wire between the connector for the coil in the door, and the control box. So now I need to trace the break and replace the section of wire. Does anyone know where exactly the plug for the door loom on a 91 LHD C2 is. The workshop manual "helpfully" points out its under the dash on the driver side, but where? Is it behind the carpet or under the dash?
Thanks
Taj.
