Air Con Problem

Air Con Problem
Hi all,
Just got my C4 back from JZM with a new clutch/Flywheel - <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />
BUT - now the aircon wont work - it was working fine before it went in (after spending £600 fixing it) and now it doesn't.
It was 32 deg yesterday in London (50 deg in the car) and my girlfriend was just a little anoyed - sweet and unassuming as she is - Har!
What I have noticed is that when I press the aircon button, a squealing noise starts which I suspect is the Temp Sensor fan. The blower fans are blowing unheated air, but not cooled air.
Does anyone have any sugestions before I take the car back to JZM? Could it simply be the sensor fan, a fuse etc.
Thanks in advance. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Dear Ade,
Take the C4 straight back. I would be very sure that they have failed to connect something back up or have accidently damaged something. It went in working it should leave working. It is not worth attempting to troubleshoot and work things out. Immediately call them, tell them the aircon does not work and take it straight back.
The squealing could well be the compressor drive belt. The temp sensor fan runs all the time. I suspect the problem is in the rear end seeing as they had the engine and transmission out,

Hi
Thanks Adrian, and I quite agree with you, I just wanted to see if it was something simple first as the drive to JZM means a day off work for me and a lot of extra pressure.
Something I just remembered (memory not as good as it was). The Aircon WAS working when it left JZM, I remember defrosting the window, but it was a cold rainy day.
The squeal (more like rubbing sandpaper) noise has just started this weekend and is definatly comming from the control unit not the compressor. The Compressor clutch engages and disengages.

Dear Ade,
The temp sensor fans do squeal. However this will not cause an aircon failure. I wonder if they disconnected the compressor and forgot to reacharge the system. Or split a pipe or something. For a quick check I would certainly advise you check the rear blower fan fuse in the engine bay, on the carrier plate.

Cheers mate, Will take a look at the fuse and check for any splits or disconnected wires etc.
Also noticed that the heat exchanger fans were going on/off in about 5 second intervals while the aircon was on - I wonder it that's a clue?
Thanks for you help.
