I think I paid about $1500 for the parts. Install could be as cheap as $750, but I went the route of "as long as you're in there ..." and opted for a full engine drop (not just a transmission) and had plugs, plug wires, and distributors replaced, all the various leaking covers and gaskets fixed (power steering pomp belt was nearly dead so it was replaced too), engine hanger repaired, the tin cleaned and powder coated, valves adjusted, and a few other things I've forgotten. Hey, it's easier with the engine out...
