Phil

have you got any further in your headlight research. I have H4's in my '92 C2, but I feel that I could sometimes use more light.

John, I must admit this has gone on the back-burner. I've been waiting to hear from CA Automotive who were hoping to source some smaller bulbs. I get the feeling some panel beating is still going to be needed.

I have heard, though, that Design911 has a system that will straight into the 964.

Not had time to follow it up. I must do, though, otherwise it'll be summer and I won't need the headlamps!

<a href="http://www.tech9.ms" target="_blank">Tech-9</a> is offering a Xenon light conversion.

Personally, having had xenon lights on other cars, I don't like them.
They are VERY bright, but this results in oncoming drivers flashing to tell you to go onto dipped (this with adjustment correct).
Also, the edge of the lit area has a very sharp cut-off - it's either floodlit or black. I prefer the more gradual fade of a normal light.
How many of us get much opportunity to use main-beam these days?

I guess it's personal preference. I've been very impressed with the xenon headlamps on cars I've driven, and am very keen to get them on my 964.

Watch this space!

Phil

just ordered some Philips Vision Plus for my H4s. I'll let you know if they improve things.

I must second the like of xenon lights. I had them with e-code elipsoids on my E36 BMW. The down grade to the DOT H5's on the 964 is terrible. I still have the H1 bulbs and balasts and was thinking that I would get the H4 housings and the H4 bulbs. However I have heard many people say that the glare from xenon H4's is pretty bad. So now I am thinking H4's with 80/100's.

If you do get the HID kit please post how it turns out.
