PA1000 playing up in an odd way..
Feels a bit odd posting business as usual stuff after just posting on Emilio's sad announcement..
My problem is making the car a bit embarrassing (always worse to be seen having problems in a P car!)
The PA1000 is stock I think, with both the horn sounding and a very piercing klaxon mounted in the luggage compartment. The klaxon alone started going off briefly for a few seconds when the engine is first started, and now it seems to be turning itself on intermittently when the car is stationary/engine off, locked or unlocked - starting the engine is the only way to turn it off.
Does this sequence implicate any part of the system in particular? Can't be just a short in the klaxon, cos starting the engine stops it. I guess, from what Adrian's book says, the only way to test a 90MY control unit is to replace it?
Not expecting any eperts on this - but maybe someone's BTDT?
