Yep - we're in.

John - sat nav shows me taking the M56 (Buxton, Stockport, M60 the M56) - shall we meet somewhere nearer to you and head to Ruthin together?

Rob / John,

I'll be travelling M66, M60, M62 and then M56 so more than likely we (Cate and I) will see you on route.

Rob, (and Steve, come to that) if we're all aiming to be at Ruthin by 11.00, we should pretty much come together on the M56. Give my mobile a call when you're around Frodsham (J12) and we'll see if we can group up. ['Group up'?!].

Don't forget to bring a picnic, everyone.

I'll be at the Esso garage for 11 - my picnic will probably be a Special K bar!

Default The result...

Well, what a great day that was!

It started out snowing and miserable, but turned into a beautifully sunny day.

Great to meet another bunch of such nice people. It's just a pity that there wasn't too much time to spend getting to know eachother - we were too busy driving...

As we met up, my engine began making a rather nasty noise. It turned out that one of the retaining bolts from the inner pulley had loosened and had its head sheared off by the outer pulley. The sheared head was trapped between the two pulleys and was being ground away! Still, it made for a good ice-breaker.

The cars got absolutely filthy but, I hope, we all had a good time.

Not much in the way of pictures, I'm afraid - but here's a few...

What a great day! I've had to visit Mr.Morrisons Jetwash on the way home after Rob decorated my car - at least you couldn't see the pink paint!

Barry,

As we live so close to eachother, we must meet up - I'll be in touch. I was going to suggest we stop off for a bite to eat on the way home, but thought I'd better get my car washed also, before thinking about food!

P.S. Sorry, all - I posted the pictures without blurring any numbers - and my pizza has just arrived! Anyone want them blurred, let me know & I'll do so ASAP.

John,

That would be great - by the way, I can reccommend Morrison's Jetwash, £2.50 for ten minutes - I've washed out the arches as well (yecch!)

John - amazing photos! Mine look terrible, Charlie's are pretty good but they all appear grainy and flat. Time to buy a new camera perhaps.

Nice to meet everyone; a great day indeed.
