Thinking of a 964 Club Racer

to take a c2 and make it a clb racer is no less than 20-25k.I've done it twice.Very painful. In terms of what class is best for a 964 c2,E.As someone stated, you stll have to run at weight(3130) if your in d or e class.
the best car for d class is a 964 cup or a 944 rothsman turbo cup. If you want a great car for not a lot of cash Ed Smith is selling an 87 coupe .this is a great car and fresh! It runs in e class(chip, wing, ring and pin, and big brakes) 1.00.003 at limerock 212.57 at the glen. could easily be made to run in f class as well

Ron S had easily 60k + in his E stock C2 and it's worth about 40+ when your done. You can have a 964 cup Euro or US for slightly more . There is a huge difference in handling.
I would never build a stock race car again. Buy a factory car like Jim N suggests. The 964 cup parts are cheap compared to the 993's and 996's Come race with Burger and I in GTC 1. high 58's @ LRP, 2:07's @ W Glen.
Come play. Regards R Scotto

I agree with all the comments regarding a Euro Cup Car purchase. I considered many options prior to buying my '92, but felt that the best fit was a genuine factory built race car. Unless I completely wad it up, I can sell it 5 years from now for the same $$$, if not more.

Larry,
I'd take Bob's advice !! You can park 65k in a nice 964 Euro Cup and get your money back when you are done. The best part though would be getting to run with the incredible drivers now in GTC1.
