Question SKI RACK?

Hi there,

I know that there are already some threads on which roof rack to go for, but I am getting more and more confused.

I want a roof rack to carry my skis. As I can not get Yakima here in Switzerland, I thought Thule would be a good substitute.

But, now my local Thule dealer tells me that a Thule system will not fit on my car because the roof is too curved...

Does anyone have any exerience with Thule ski carriers?

Yes. I have a Thule I use for both bikes and skis. Haven't had any problems.

Hi,

I was wondering the same thing - are people using the same feet front & rear, or the taller ones at the rear to cope with the sloping roof?

Cheers,
Dave.

The same. Trust me, no problem. I had a picture of the rack on the car scanned in my computer, but I somehow deleted it. Anyway, just buy the normal Thule set up with rain gutter mounts and it'll work fine.

I have the Thule ski rack..

yes.. the roof is curved, so the skis will not have a 100% flat surface...
However, it should not be a problem.. depending on which ski holder you choose to use on the rack itself. The one I use is just a rubber band type..
