Rob... Did you buy that wide body or have it done that way? What type of conversion is it?

I bought the it that way. It was what attracted me to this car. The car has Turbo front wings (fenders), and grafted on metal rear arches. I've spent some time under the rear, and the workmanship of the conversion is very good (unlike some of the horror stories you hear about turbo body conversions). I'm running 18's, but I do have a problem with "bumpsteer".
A four wheel alignment is on the cards.
What type of conversion it is I don't know. I'll have to sit down and go through the mountain of paperwork I got with the car. The only problem is the car is a German imported car, and most of the paperwork is in German. The munber plates have "Ruf 911 artistry Ruf technology" imprinted on them. What ever that means ?

Rob... A RUF conversion? Hmmm... Sounds expensive. You should hook up with a German friend and have them read your paperwork and make notes on each one for future reference.

Sal... You've converted me to liking yellow! I like the angles that really show off the wide body. It just looks so massive.

I suffer from "Turbo Envy!"

Dave,

It just seemed obvious - it's Big and it's Yellow (i suppose similar thinking for the Carrera 4)

Hi Brian,
i used a Zaino kit i got from a friend over here. They are based in New Jersey i believe.
I started off with a washing up liquid wash, then i clay-barred the whole car (like plastercine you rub on to remove every tiny little spot of krud), then 4 layers of anti swirl wax (buff in between each), then 3 layers of show car wax (buff in between each with gloss enhancer spray) . A friend uses zymol and i think this stuff gives a deeper shine. My arms hurt for a couple days though !!

Thanks for the comments!

What a beautiful shine! Looks great!

One question though... You upgraded to the clear lens and bumperttes but you still have the flags?
