Default Service schedules

As my car came without a service book ( "is he mad?" I hear you all say) I want to get a full run down on what Porsche recommend for major and other services and at what miles/kms intervals. My OPC has had my car for a day and says "needs major service, including tappet adjustment" although it does not have noticeable tappet noise. Is this worth doing? The car performs very well and does not misfire at all.

I can't find what I need on this site. Can anyone tell me where to go on the Net please?

If you've got Adrian's book, pages 103-105 go into detail about maintenance items and whether they should be completed at 12,500, 25,000, or 50,000 mile increments. If you don't have the book, well, duh.

I just noticed that Performance Products carries it. Here's the link for that:
http://www.performanceproducts.com/ProductPage.aspx?ProductName=Porsche+911+C2%2f4+Enthusiast's+Companion&p roductid=109898&producttype=10

I know there are several sources on the web for the book, but there's one.
Oh, and no affiliation or anything (I hate typing that all the time. From now on I'm going to use this smiley as my "no affiliation" smiley. Consider yourselves notified).

Hi Mike,

Good idea to buy Adrian's book. However, be careful when you buy on e-Bay. Apparently, some vendors are selling copy-cat versions of the original, thereby violating Adrian's rights as author and stealing the reward for his work.

Better make sure to do things right by going through the publisher or a bookstore in the web.

Take care
