I have a north american 964 and just purchased a set of tail lamps from EBAY to replace my faded/cracked units. I opened up the box and was pleased when I saw that the tail lamps I bought were in good shape with no cracks etc....that is until I tried to install them. It seems that the tail lamps I got are a mirror image of the originals.... I am assuming this is due to the fact I purchased RHD units or am I crazy????

Anybody in the market for a set of European tail lamps???

OK, I'll give you a straight answer....LHD & RHD are the same!

As they don't fit, are you sure you bought 964 tail lights & not older or newer 911 tail lights?

Sorry...dont the later lamps need a gasket to fit properly?

No - the early lamps had a rubber surround. The later lamps don't have these.

I figured out they are the same by the first few replies

I think I purchased one 964 tail light and one 993 ?? tail light. They both have rubber gaskets but one is smaller then the other but identical otherwise ..... once I figure out what model the one that doesn't fit is ... i will throw it back on ebay for sale.

They should both have part numbers stamped on them. The one for the 964 should be instantly recognizable by it's part number!!
