I too have had a new rear window sewn in to my roof. Over here I payed $250, parts and labor. If just the window is split and the roof itself is still in good condition then this is the way to go, IMHO. I also had my top re-dyed for about $75 and it looks good as new. I also use the Porsche cab. top treatment spray to keep the top waterpoof.
