Do you have to use OEM Relays ????
Hi,
I need to get my daytime running lights operational and must purchase relay R63 part no. 431.951.253 G . I was expecting to pay $15 - $20 for the part from the dealer but they quoted me a price of $60 .... for a simple relay???? Is there a cheaper source or is it dealer only??
Thanks in advance!

Take care when trying to replace relays. Even though some relays have the same vendors part number they are not always rated the same. You will often find Porsche need a 40 amp relay and the vendor (OEM) version is only 15 amps.
Again this is a safety issue. These relays can get awful hot.

Thanks,
I will purchase the relay from the dealer just to be on the safe side.... I don't know why I'm complaining about the relay price, this comes with the territory when you own a porsche I still need to purchase new tail lights (mine are faded and cracked) ...why do I got the feeling this is the start of a long and lasting relationship between my porsche and bank account!!!
