Default Glasurit or Sikkens for 964 Respray?

Dose anyone know which one is the original paint supplier for 1992 964? Glasurit or Sikkens? What is the difference between those two?

Both are good paints, so it doesn't really matter. It comes on to the prep work, that is the most important job.

I think Glassurit was the OE paint brand originally used by the factory on the 964 - however, as Arjan mentioned, good preparation and a good painter are essential for a good respray.

Quality paint is also extremely important. Body shop paint jobs seldom hold up as well as the factory finish. With good prep/paint/painter, the finish can outlast the factory coatings.

According to my bodyshop Glasurit were the oe suppliers for porsche, though nowadays Dupont, or ICI are used to great effect.
