Default Quick Introduction

Just a Hello to you all. I just bought a 1990 Silver with black leather C2.
71,000 miles 2 owner CA car. I'm very stoked. I have spent a lot of time (before and since ) I bought the car so I am alreday starting to know some names. Picked up Adrian's excellent book (thanks for the indespensable accumulated wisdom) and am looking forward to making a few "improvements" over time. Anyway it's nice to meet you all.

Nice to meet you too, Tim. Looks like you've got a good start with Adrian's book. I do have to warn you though. By not posting pics of the car with your post, you're sure to incur Howard(Kahdmus)'s wrath!

Tim,

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the 964 board. As Brian had mildly suggested, do post some pics of your new P-car.

Default Pictures of car

Looks like Howard is my neighbor so he can easily see my car. ;-)
I am at home and the pictures are on my computer at work so I'll post them in the morning definitely.

Yup, A couple more hours then the chaps from other side of the pond will start posting. This is a 24 Hours board where responds are fairly quick.

Indeed. I'm originally from that side of the pond. Came to the US in 1980 to go to school and stayed.

Santa Cruz....mmm. Good swells and Pelicans!

Do you have your essential upgrade kit yet?
Contents:
1. 4 x lowering springs (factory ride height? No thanks)
2. 4 x 17" wheels (Understeery and undertyred on 16's)
3. 2 x teardrop mirrors (This isn't a 3.2, you know!)
4. 1 x G pipe (There IS an engine under 4k RPM after all..)

Default Mods and pictures

Well yes, I need three of the list of four. The tear drop mirors were done by the original owner with the invoice (I have every piece of paperwork from the day the car was bought which is very nice to have, needless to say). I'm thinking some ebay 17 Boxster twists in the (hopefully) not too distant future.
Definitely need to lower the car.... I modded the hell out of my previous car (2000 Audi TT) so I am already a junkie. Damn habit is expensive. I cut open my air box which i like better than the hole saw look and that definitely put some teeth in the intake noise. Huge improvement. Thanks to all of you for the welcome. Here ar esome initial pictures
