I tried the white/red and got a pulse, but it was erratic and wouldnt work. So I am still looking for a good speed pulse wire. Currently I am on the output side of the pulse sender for the right front ABS sensor. It works perfectly for the GPS, but causes a strange flutter in the brake pedal just as the car comes to a complete stop. I cant understand why as we put a diode on the wire to prevent any feedback.

Super install, Lon. I bought my wife a 91 C2 Cab which we're going to use in Florida, and I'm looking for some kine of NAV system for her to use. Any details would be appreciated.
Also might you know if a Becker traffic Pro would work as well?

I think the Becker would also work as long as you find the speed pulse

Mat,
Thanks for the reply, do you mean on the spoiler control module?

I mean the Climate Control Unit. I have a radio with built in Navigation stuff and found it
easy to take the speed pulse signal from the CCU unit because they are side by side.

Well, My installer and I tried many more wires today and we failed to find a working combination. The white/red on the CCU was close, it did give a speed and a pulse, but only after reaching 26mph and would cease once you slowed below 5mph. I cant comprehend why it would react that way, but then again I cant comprehend why it is this hard to find a solution. Had Porsche not removed the speed sensor from the trans in 1991 we wouldnt be having this problem because we could obtain it there. The wheel speed sensor works, but seems to interfere with the ABS somehow, causing the ABS to test the system everytime you slow to about 3mph resulting in a flutter in the brake pedal. I am assuming this is because the added wire increases the resistance on the wire from the sensor and the system thinks there is a short, therefor requiring the ABS to test itself. I am pulling my hair out looking for the solution, I know there must be one.

It sounds like your GPS system's speed sensor puts too much of a load on whatever it is sensing. That is probably why it screws with the ABS, and also why it can't read the speed pulse from the CCU/speedometer/spoiler module.
The best way to find out would be to put a portable oscilloscope on the wire, and compare signals before and after your GPS is tapped in. Many auto service shops have the necessary equipment - but often not the knowledge - to do this.
Perhaps your GPS unit is defective?
