Le Mans Classic 2004 - Pictures
Finally, let's take some times to post pictures of Le Mans Classic which took place on the 23-24th of July.
The principle of that race is to organise a 24h race with old cars (from 1923 to 1978) on Le Mans track (the big one, 13km) with cars which already raced at "Les 24h du Mans".
6 series were organized (1923-1939, 1946-1956, 1957-61, 1962-65, 1966-71, 1972-78).
Of course a lot of Porsche were there:
- 356
- 718 RSK
- RS 61
- 904
- 911
- 914 6/GT
- 906
- 908/3
- 910
- 917
- 911 RS 2.7L
- 911 RSR 2.8L
- 911 RSR 3.0L
- 935 and 935 K2
- 911 RS 3.0L
- 936
But also a lot of beautiful other cars: Bugatti, Talbot, Lola, Ferrari, BMW, Gulf, Mirage, Ligier, Ford, Chevron, Jaguar, Alfa Romeo, Alpine, AC, Triumph, Lotus, Sunbeam, TVR, MG, Morgan, Osca, Austin Healey, Cadillac, Maseratti, Allard, Renault, Aston Martin, Bentley, Cooper, Panhard, Allard, Stutz, Amilcar, Lagonda, Riley, Invicta, BNC, Delage, Chevrolet...
You'll find below only Porsche related pictures. I'll put other pictures if you request them
, otherwise I plan to put all pictures (+ videos) on my site, but I need more time...
That was really crazy to see all these old cars racing even in the night, incredible! I made a lot of video in the night, and I think everybody will remember for a long time the sound of a Chevy Corvette... that car was shaking us all, sorry Porsche didn't win on that point
Of course a lot of Clubs were there also, and if I remember there was 650 porsche in the parking!
And now the pictures!
First, you see that the start was made "the old way" with the drivers running to the car... great!
