Did 911RS America ever come with rear seats?
Here's one on ebay with cloth rear seats....must have been an aftermarket (i.e. not factory) add on?? I don't track my car, but would love an RS for the street- this car is such an awesome color as well!
I wish I had enough money to get this car and keep my cab The only complaint I have about my cab is lack of rear seats...as small as they are, when we have kids we don't have anywhere to put them in the car....could this RS be a more practical carthan the convertible?
I love my car and am not selling it anytime soon, but I do love looking around at cars on the net!

Yeah - I wish my cabrio had rear seats - don't have kids yet.... yet.... but by then I think I'll have a 964 track car so I will pull out the rear shelf of my existing C4, and install the rear seats from the other car (that's the theory at this point in time). But, with a cabrio I think you can only have lap belts - no 3-point belts like in a coupe which is not so good. I don't want the kids eating the rear of the seats in a crash!
It appears that even if your car doesn't have the rear seats - you can install them from another car since the hardware mounting points are all there.

It has an Alpine stereo, sunroof, and AC. While creature comfort oriented, I would think that loosing a couple of the options would make it more valuable.... Just my 2 cents.

Wow- I thought all RSAs had no rear seats for lower weight. What's so nice about 911's is in all their variants, there are so many variations....everything from a C4 all wheel drive automatic/tip convertible to a stripped out racer! The C2 stick convertible is my choice, but I would have to put a second on a well-optioned RSA- i.e. A/C, radio, rear seats (now that I see some have them)- I know the racers would cringe at an RSA weighted with that stuff, but for me in that car I'd like the firmer suspension, standard 17 inch rims (were an option on my C2), less noise insulation, direct steering feedback (or kickback if its anything like the pre-'90 911's) and "old style" picnic table rear wing- that classic whale tail just goes right on the RSA and is the classic 911 look! But I wouldn't give up my cab for it- anyone have an extra $40K so I can buy the RSA and keep my cab?
I remember when they came out with the RSA, and I thought what an excellent idea- as the 911 was moving in the direction of more creature comfort, ease of driving, but more weight, noise insulation etc, here was a car that was true to the original 911 coupe roots! I've always been a sucker for open cars (had 2 targas before the cab) which by their nature are a little less raw than the coupe, but I still love the coupes and especially the RSA...and especially this particular RSA!
Garett376- I hear you on the rear seats not being 3-point in the cab- good point. We don't have any kids yet, but the rear seats is something I think about from time to time as you do.
Well, enough of my babble- sorry you had to read all my inner thoughts!

RSAs were made from 1992-1992. About 50 in 1992, 500 in 1993, and 150 in 1994 I think. There were 701 total. You can find more detailed stats on www.rsamerica.net.
