Better than a bike...
Last Sunday, 8:00 am, Furkapass, 2400m:
With RS suspension, 993 Cup cams and short gearing for the 6-speed box, the car is completely transformed! Almost manically accelerative and agile beyond belief.
Must have been visible from the outside, too: three bikers waved their salute!

This is simply AWESOME!!! I was in the Swiss Alps 3 months ago, wishing I had my car...
That one rear shot is not my background on my work computer!!!
Beautiful car! And I love the Carrera sticker!
Cheers,
Greg

Question: Do you have spacers on the car in the rear?
Also, what's the deal with your rear window. It sits flush with the outer edge. Mine isn't like that...

Greg,
Thanks for the nice words!
The rear window is a flush-fit Lexan screen which is glued to a special carbon frame to get it level with the body.
I especially like the smooth flow from the window to the rear wing.

Oh, forgot to answer your other question!
I do not have spacers now due to troubles with the law ...
But the wheels are Mille Miglia 9x17 Cup replicas at the rear. Here is a scan of the original wheels when I had spacers installed:

Anatol,
Nice pics and car
If you don't mind me asking , where did you get your carbon RSA wing from? Do you know how heavy it is? Any problems with it? Do you notice any improvement or not?
TIA

Thank you all!
Tony: the rear wing is from Niederhof Kohlefasertechnik in Bavaria. See their website:
http://www.niederhof.com/
They specialise in all parts carbon for any 911 ever built and the quality is outstanding. The weight of the wing is 5kg. It is the lightest wing available. Before I used to have the RS3.8 wing in GRP. Even though it gave more downforce - to the extent of unsteerabilty with the wing set at its steepest setting - it was heavy at 15kg and I could not settle with the looks.
Greg: I used 19mm adapters at the rear. The law in Switzerland is very strict, as Adrian keeps pointing out. But I would never have thought that I could be dangerous to the public by deliberately weakening my suspension ...

One more question:
Do you have pictures of the rear window from the inside - i am really interested in seeing how it is finished out from that angle - this looks like a great mod.

Rob, that is what I have:
you can see the carbon frame that is screwed into the original window frame and onto which the lexan sreen is glued. Hope it helps! Btw. all parts available from Niederhof (see above) with which I have no affiliation, just a satisfied customer.
Actually, you can see that my car used to have a classic grey interior: the roof lining is the only (annoying) part left.

By the way, I will be adding this in a few weeks time:
Got it on ebay for Euro 1000 and it will sound great for sure. I won't have heat afterwards but there are solutions for this...

shoulder belts
You've got quite the fun project - that is a neat exhaust system!
Just one thing I noticed about your interior picture (I might be seeing it wrong) - your shoulder belts look like they are mounted way below your shoulder line - if you are in a big head-on collision, you might end up crushing the seat and eating your steering wheel because of the slack that may result from the way they're mounted. Usually you want to have them coming straight back, or at most a 30 degree angle from your shoulders. Just a friendly note you may not have thought about!!!!
