Default Pattern vs original parts

[img alt="I purchased this pattern part to my replace the rusted original, it clearly isn’t as well made as the original fitted to the car. I took the view that the ones currently available from Porsche probably aren’t as good as the one fitted at the time of production.
The point is does anyone have actual experience of current genuine Porsche tins compared to pattern. Are they much better? For all I know they may be made by the same company 🤔

I answered my own question, the pattern part wouldn’t fit without bending / filling to fit. Original Porsche part fits straight on.

AFAIK they are still as they were from the 90's but I believe they no longer come painted.

Mine was painted with the part number printed on it. Looks to be made in exactly the same way as the original the car was built with.
