Did airbox mod, now the car stumbles at low rpm
My C2 has a custom straight thru exhaust with just a main muffler, no presilencers or heat exchangers. Before I did the airbox mod it sounded very loud and throaty, there was a slight stumble when I stomp on the gas.
After the airbox mod, it sounds the same but now the stumble is worse, and at certain times the car wouldn't idle. It has a K&N airfilter.
Any ideas on why it would stumble more? Seems like a mixture problem to me. Now I might have to find an original airbox cover to put back on.

Sounds like you need a DME reset. The DME needs to adapt to your new mods.
DME reset procedure: Drive around until engine is at normal temp., then disconnect negative from battery terminal for 15 minutes. Reconnect and idle for 1 minute and drive around as "if you stole it" for 15 minutes.
