Default Stupid Question-Where is the crankcase drain plug?

Doing my first oil change this weekend, the position of the oil tank drain is obvious but I cannot see the crankcase drain plug. Do I need to remove the undertray to get to it? Roughly where is it in relation to the oil tank drain?
Thanks,

You don't need to remove the undertray.

From memory, it's facing the left of the car and is located right at the side of the right hand 'slot' in the undertray.

Mind you, the memory isn't what it was!

John,
Thanks I have found it (home office today so a quick shuftie under the car).

You were very close, it is facing left at the rear of the left hand side slot in the undertray when viewed from the rear of the car.

Car has only done 1500 mi since last change but I have always done a six month intermediate change, usually done by specialist but given it doesn't affect the history thought I would have a go myself.

Thanks as always and look forward to a late Aug/early Sept run?

Oh btw they have put new speed camera signs up on the B4501 where it runs past Llyn Brenig-is there no end to the torture!!!!
Cheers,

Bear in mind, when you remove the plug, oil will initially shoot out about 8-10 inches towards the left wheel and then wind down to a more reasonable flow rate. I'd take off the tray.

That's true - I was going to point that out but had to leave quickly...

Thanks for the warning about the signs, Kevin. I'll leave it to you to find the actual cameras, as before!

Hope to arrange a run very shortly, just waiting to hear back from Rob, who seems to have temporaiily disappeared...
