Default Anyone Have an Old Factory Rear Spoiler Lying About Their Garage?

For example, if you've installed a fixed spoiler. If so, I might be interested in purchasing. In particular, if it's already painted black (good condition). My spoiler has developed a crack at one corner, and hasn't responded well to repair attempts.

I checked the Rennlist classifieds, E-bay & PartsHeaven. Nothing yet.

Randall, I have a midnight blue one sitting in my garage in perfect condition. I am in the Pasadena area so if you want it, perhaps we can meet somewhere? PM me if you are interested.

Thanks everyone. Joey has come through with one in just the right color--black.

Gotta' love Rennlist....

Hi Randall,
I have a stress crack in the corner of my spoiler trim too. It's now at the top of my work list for the car (finally). So what did you try and what would you do differently to fix this again?
My car is grand prix white, which means I might strike up a deal with Bill...especially after I super glue one hand to the spoiler and the other hand to my forehead after performing a dope slap.

Hey Kevin,

I actually had a professional body shop try to fix mine first, while the car was in getting the base of the front windshield rust bubble repaired. They tried hard, but said: a) they couldn't apply their epoxy from the back side, because it's blocked off; b) the epoxy kept just soaking into the material. They eventually "fixed" it, but didn't have confidence it would last. Sure enough, it lasted about a week, and the crack reappeared. Fortunately, they were nice enough not to charge me, realizing it wasn't a real repair.

I also tried repairing it myself using some epoxy I have in the house, cramming as much as I could into the crack. This time, the repair lasted about 2 days (and looked much worse than the shop's job), before the crack opened again.

BTW, they charged me $700 for fixing the rust bubble, which included a new windshield seal. They told me the rust wasn't all that bad with the windshield removed, pretty much what was visible it what their was.
