Default Anti Theft Kill Switch?

In my old VW bug we used to wire them in to something like the ash tray. If it wasn't pushed in all the way it would kill power to the coils.
Not sure if something like that is doable but it was simple, easy and incognito. My wife and I like taking the 964 to hiking trails. I get a little fun
mountain drive and then a hike for exercise but my anxiety starts kicking in and I fear it'll be gone when I get back to the trailhead.

Rennline sells a replica RS Battery Disconnect bracket that allows you to mount a kill switch with removable key in the frunk... https://www.rennline.com/cup-and-rs-...earchid=479723

Hi Mark,

don't you have the "ultimate anti-theft device" aka a manual transmission in your car ?

I'd be shocked if more than 10% of the population could even figure out what to do with a manual let alone manage to successfully drive off a car without assists.

Not that I would try it but I'm fairly certain I could even leave my keys in the ignition and it would be there when I got back.

Regretfully values are such that the sort of people who are stealing 964s are now the type to show up with a flatbed.
