Hello from a new Rennlister in Georgia…
I just wanted to introduce myself, and more importantly, my car. I purchased my black/tan 1990 C2 tip coupe at the end of last year.
After the purchase, I jumped on the internet to find out exactly what I’d gotten myself into. That’s where I found Rennlist and I’ve been lurking in the shadows ever since, taking in the wealth of information that is shared on this board. I’ve learned alot and hope to be able to contribute to the information here in the future.
Thanks for all of the great information, so far. I’m sure I will be asking for more.

Those maybe 2 negative threads must have stuck with you JB! I think theres some great threads - garretts painting adventures I cant wait to see! Your ring pics were simply outbloodystanding! Good advice on transmissions, interesting data on rollcages, more discussions on brake pads and broken spoilers all 'spring' to mind......so some normal and some new topics (thank god!)

Jason, you need to come out to the SF Bay area and hang out with me and Howard!

Thanks for the nice welcome.
Sire, I like your car also. Can't talk the wife into selling the Expedition for a Cab.
John, thanks. I'm going to try to keep my posts and my car out of mudslinging.
Howard and Surf Twang, I'd love to come out and get some pictures. I've wanted to make a run to the west coast ever since I bought the car. Maybe I'll be able to at some point. You guys have great taste in cars!

Thanks Peter.
Thanks Arjan, I think I 'll feel comfortable after a few posts.
Thanks Splattergasted. After the single pulley conversion, that was the first mod for me. It would've been done first, but the belts needed to be changed. It does pretty well, and I'm not into the racing/weight saving mode, yet.

Welcome to the "Club" , Jason. Altho I've been around for awhile on the 996 list, I just bought a 91 Black/Tan Cab/Tip for wifey and started posting on the 964 board again. (Black is good!) Got a warm welcome...great bunch of folks. Hope you stick around a long time. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Oops. Sorry Sire.
Arjan thanks for the clarification.
Thanks Don W. I agree completely.
All of you guys have really nice cars.
Thanks Springer3, Here are the stereo details:
I have a Kenwood Sirius satellite Head unit KDC-MP825 (plays CDs including MP3s and WMAs) with a music keg (stores up to ~5000 music files in either format), KFC-P605ie 6.5" components and KFC4675C 2 way 4x6" speakers in the rear. The amp I'm using is a Kenwood KAC-859 5 channel amp with built-in adjustable crossover. I have a Rockford Fosgate Digital Farad capacitor, that is mounted upfront, but has not been connected, yet. I bought this to make sure that I don't screw up my alternator, which should be spinning slower with the single belt conversion. I will hook it up soon, but I don't think it's going to be an issue (no lights dimming or anything like that with the system cranked up). The subwoofer that I'm using is a 10" Kicker solo-baric hatch-back box (lots of weight, but also nice deep bass). I'll probably replace this later with a lighter alternative, using less space.
I'm quite pleased with the sound. I don't thnk it's competition rate, but it gets loud and stays pretty clean. It suits my needs nicely.
