Question to anyone that knows...will mirrors off a 96 993 fit on the 964???

My aeros/teardrops came off a 993 - not sure what year or that the year makes a difference.

I believe the Aero's are spec'd for 993 and 964. Read a description on a parts site to make sure, but Im sure when I got mine it stated for 993, 964 or 911.

They will fit. The wiring may be different though if power. The rubber gasket is also different. Since the bases are shaped differently, there may be a subtle difference in paint color when you remove the old gasket/mirror.

As Adsc4s says - you will need the proper base and gasket. There are lots of posts on the way to match the wires.

There must be a way around the base problem. When I bought my C2, it already had Aero mirrors fitted, but with the origional square bases off of the flag mirrors.

My kit from MSRoad& Race came with base and gasket, all fit as advertised. Only difference was wiring.
